HERE'S A NOVELTY |
We are a relatively newly-formed theatre company that takes live theatre to people's living rooms. (NOT murder mysteries, we hasten to add!) People tend to invite their friends over and have us along as a bit of unusual home entertainment! We are based in Surrey but we perform all over England. We do not do this work in public theatres and therefore rely entirely on people booking us directly to come to their homes. We rely heavily on media publicity.
Some documented comments about our work include:
"One of the best times I've experienced as a theatregoer."
"We didn't know what to expect but it was quite simply fantastic - an utterly accomplished and talented presentation."
"Everyone agreed it was a terrific event and all are planning to attend the next one."
"The plays were both entertaining and thought-provoking and were acted with accomplishment and flair."
We have a website (basic) at
www.hometown.aol.com/close4comf
Would you be able to feature us? We are at the stage in our development when we are seeking out every possibility of exposure! Even a small mention would be appreciated.
(We have been interviewed on LBC, Radio 5 Live, Star FM, The Eagle, and on BBC Radios Jersey, Cambridgeshire, Solent, GMR, Gloucestershire, Southern Counties, Leicestershire, Kent, Northamptonshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Guernsey, Suffolk and Humberside, and are soon to be on Classic Gold. We have performed play excerpts for Radio 5 Live and for BBC Radios Solent, Southern Counties and Suffolk. We have been in numerous local papers around the country, in Guildford, Bolton, Norwich, Colchester, Staines, Leicester, Basildon, Bury, Esher, Wigan, Chatham, Ashford, Kidderminster, Luton, Basingstoke, Woking, Canterbury, etc., and we will soon feature in papers in Cornwall, Ilford and Burnley. We have been in The Weekly News (D.C. Thompson's), and we've also been mentioned in The Sun! Reuters published an article about us on January 18th. We have been interviewed on a Japanese radio station, and we were featured in El Mundo, the second largest national newspaper in Spain. On March 4th we were filmed by Reuters Television, and BBC London News featured us on June 19th. BBC Midlands Today and Meridian Television also want to film us.)
We can supply more information, if necessary.
Many thanks.
