LOCAL ARTIST - IAN BURGESS

Always keen to encourage local talent, we highlight this week the work of artist Ian Burgess who lives in the village.

A man of many talents, we show here two samples of trompe d'oeil painting which look as if they stand out from the wall.
Further selections from his work include three birds, Puffin, Kittiwake and Shag, shown below.  

These are mounted on board and 'distressed' to give an aged effect.
 

Ian's work has been exhibited at local craft events, but, unfortunately for us, is not promoted widely due to pressure of other things.
