Table Tennis Group
A group of friends have met weekly to play table tennis for the past 10 years.
They enjoy the fun and exercise together.
This square was designed by Betty Watts and Peggy Saunders and
worked by Peggy Saunders. |

Tennis Club
Margaret Vine and Betty Malterer formed the Ferring Tennis Club in December 1994
and it was officially opened on 1st April 1995. The main purpose was to foster
the playing of social tennis and encourage greater use of the two tennis courts
which were provided for the residents of Ferring.
The square was designed by Margaret Vine and worked by
Pritchards Personalized Embroidery. |

Federation of Townswomen's Guilds
The Townswomen's Guild was founded in 1929 and there has been a branch in
Ferring since 1971. It was originally founded to educate in citizenship the
women who had just received the vote. This is still the objective.
The Guild's logo was worked by Mrs. Betty Long. |

Trefoil Guild
The Ferring Trefoil Guild was founded in 1983 by ex-Guides who lived in
Ferring to keep alive the spirit of the Guide/Scout Promise and Law, and to give
practical, financial and moral support to Guiding and Scouting. The Group
meets on the second Tuesday in each month in the Paris hChurch Hall at 7.30 p.m.
The tapestry shows the Girl Guide QH badge for all Trefoil
members and was worked by Edna Parsons. |

Twilight Club
The Ferring Twilight Club, which is affiliated to the West Sussex Association
for the Blind, was founded two years ago in 1998. The club offers a social
afternoon to blind or visually impaired men and women meeting fortnightly on
Wednesday afternoons. (Transport for Ferring residents can be arranged.)
