Abbeyfield schoolhouse stands on the site of the original school.

One of the present residents, Mrs Young, produced this tapestry.

Abbeyfield Ferring Society

The Abbeyfield Ferring Society was established in 1980 and is part of a National Society dedicated to improving the quality of life for elderly people who are unable or do not wish to live alone.

The first site was established in Cornwell House in Beehive Lane and the second was built in 1985 on the site of Ferring School in the centre of the village and named the "Old School House".

Animal Welfare - Ferring
Arthritis Research Campaign

The Campaign was founded in 1941 and the Ferring branch was formed in 1985. The aim is to support and finance both individual and collective bodies in research and treatment of arthritis and related illnesses.

The tapestry logo was worked by Mrs. Betty Long.

Arun Art Society

The Arun Art Society was founded approximately 40 years ago, meeting weekly, often outdoors in the summer. Monthly meetings are also held with speeches and demonstrations. The square represents the Society's logo and was created by Sally Stevens.
